I found CrossFit in the summer of 2013 and after my first workout I was hooked. Prior to discovering CrossFit, I could have been found doing a typical long cardio and weightlifting routine in the gym which yielded minor results. I have always been involved in sports and physical activities my entire life, however, as a child, teenager, and young adult I struggled with being overweight. I knew that a change was necessary and now, I can honestly say that adapting the CrossFit lifestyle, along with some alterations in nutrition, was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
After about a year and a half of doing CrossFit and shadowing my coaches constantly, I decided to get my Level 1 Trainer certificate so I could start coaching. This quickly became my passion and I knew that I wanted to spend all my time sharing the knowledge I have gained which has helped me achieve my past goals, and to assist others achieve their goals. The first continuing education program I sought out was for CrossFit Kids. I am very passionate about helping kids, preteens, and teenagers learn about body awareness and teaching them to live a healthy lifestyle from a young age through safe functional movements and proper nutrition.
I believe that fitness should be fun and approached with a positive attitude and a goal of getting a little better every day. Getting results is not always easy and certainly does not happen overnight, but with belief, commitment and perseverance they will come.
