Simply put, my passion is your fitness. I was always involved with sports growing up and loved the community aspect of being on a team. At the time that I found CrossFit in 2011, I was doing the traditional “globo” gym workouts day in and day out. The one thing that made me immediately fall in love with CrossFit is the sense of overwhelming community that every box shares. Since my start, I have found my true passion: Coaching. I love nothing more and feel truly blessed to say that I get to coach amazing athletes day in and day out. From when I started coaching in early 2012 until now I have had the amazing opportunity to be the Program Director of CrossFit Together and be the Director of Coaching at CrossFit Boston Iron & Grit.
Growing up I never considered myself to be a naturally gifted athlete but I have always believed with hard work, dedication and a point in the right direction anything can become possible. Throughout my youth, I struggled with being overweight. I had some good days and some bad days as every athlete does. Throughout my journey to inspire a better sense of fitness within myself and every athlete that I have been blessed with coaching, I have learned one thing: It is not reaching your goal that is the most important (because there will always be another goal), but, rather it is the struggles that you overcome, the failures that give birth to successes, the knowledge that you acquire along the way that will teach you more than you could imagine. In other words, love the process. This idea has helped shape me into the athlete, coach, and person that I am today.
